Agnieszka Bar

Designer specializing in glass matter.
She was born and brought up in the Sudety Mountains, a region with rich glass traditions. Agnieszka was brought up in a house where the craft was very important, and grew up in the belief that the work of the hands is of great value that gives others the joy of using. This belief serves her to this day.
She is attracted by the embers of the glass furnace. She takes traditional techniques with a grain of salt and draws from them telling completely new stories. She uses experimentation to achieve the desired visual metaphor in the matter. The short series of functional items and unique collections she creates in cooperation with craftsmen and glass centers in Poland and Europe.
Agnieszka graduated in glass art and design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Studied also at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava and at Technic University in Liberec in the Czech Republic. Associated with her alma mater for 12 years, where she co-created the educational program of Applied Glass Design Studio and conducted research and educational projects at the Glass Department.
She designed for Puro Hotels, Antonius Caviar, Tre Products, and EXPO Dubai.
She is a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for an outstanding scientist. Winner of the title Mazda Design Award 2019, and design awards MUST HAVE and DOBRY WZÓR. Participated in prestigious exhibitions and design festivals since 2008, including London Design Festival, Salone del Mobile Milano, Paris Design Week, Vienna Design Week, Gdynia Design Days, Łódź Design Festiwal, and Designblok.
