Discover the universe

of Oskar Zieta and Joanna Hawrot

05.-12.12.2024

Oskar Zieta

The adventure started at ETH Zurich, where, before inflating metal, Oskar Zięta used a modification of tube hydroforming,

a method used in the automotive industry. Therefore the first PLOPP stool was deformed by high-pressure water injection

between two metal sheets to force them into a 3D form. Today we use air instead of water.

“Controlled loss of control”

That’s what we call it. We let the material freely reply to the process with its characteristics. We try to predict it, but we never control it. We let internal pressure manifest its irregularities and unrepeatable concaves. We experiment with sizes and shapes. We believe that less weight today means more possibilities.

Polish designer, CEO of the fashion brand HAWROT and the holistic interior design concept HAWROT HOME. She is the recipient of the Fashion Excellence 2024 Award.

A creative artist implementing her unique philosophy FROM FASHION TO ART, she presents fashion in an interdisciplinary context of contemporary art.
Her signature style is recognizable through contemporary versions of European kimonos. For years, she has been collaborating with leading contemporary artists in Poland and abroad. Her artistic collections, based on original fabrics, have been showcased
in New York, Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, and Düsseldorf.

In the heart of Warsaw, she operates her own boutique, which also serves as an art gallery. Joanna Hawrot's collector's projects, created in the spirit of WEARABLE ART, strike a balance between the functionality of clothing and the uniqueness of artwork.
They are regularly exhibited in museums, galleries, and diplomatic venues worldwide. In her creative work, the designer remains true to the Japanese aesthetics of polarization - expressing maximum content in minimal form. In her collections, she draws from oriental inspirations, transposing Asian culture and tradition into the space of a modern, European metropolis.

In addition to thematic fashion collections, she also creates theatrical and film costumes, collaborating with art and cultural institutions in Poland and around the world.
